Millennial Real Estate Investor
Hey everyone,
My name is Jordin Roussell. I'm 20 years old and am from New Orleans, Louisiana. Over the past year or so I have showed some serious interest in Real Estate investing, but little to no action. Recently a big mindset change happened in me and I'm going all in with it. I currently do internet marketing for car dealerships and am looking to leave my job April 27th, 2017. It's my 6 months to 6 figures goal if you will. At this moment I'm doing just wholesale deals, but I plan on having my first Apartment Complex by the end of 2017 with 36 units or more. I'm motivated, determined and coachable. Also looking to meet some new people in the industry.
Thanks everyone!

@Jordin Roussell Welcome to BP! I admire your energy and zeal and hesitate to be a nay-sayer but please keep a dose of reason in your plans. I've been in Real Estate for longer than you've been alive and feel very successful but don't have a 36-unit Apartment Complex yet.
You hear a lot of stories of people that have done that but A) There are probably 1,000 people that fail for every success story and B) They often don't actually own the property they're talking about but 'control'' it and it is actually owned by a wealthy investor of theirs.
I say none of this to discourage you. You are absolutely on the right path. Real estate is absolutely the path to wealth OVER TIME. But don't expect it to happen immediately. Set your goals there and it might happen and if it does so much the better. But if it doesn't, just keep at it.
The most successful people I have seen in Real Estate have been doing it, working hard at it for 20,30, 40 years. Those are the people to emulate.
Do you not like your job in internet marketing? At 20 you're way too young to do something you don't like. If it's truly real estate you like why not try getting a job as an acquisition manager, property manager, sales agent, financial analyst and see if you actually enjoy real estate?
