Originally from South Dakota. Still have family living there. Currently working part time as commercial property manager (office buildings in Orange County California). My husband and I have a goal to purchase some buy and hold units to supplement retirement in 10 years. Would consider out of state deals and interested in SFR or multi units. Also want to bring my adult children into real estate investing. Owned a rental years ago but lost the depreciation write off due to income, so bailed. Wish I still owned that property today! Still can't write off depreciation personally but looking for deals that have positive cash flow whether I get the depreciation write off or not. Looking for referrals to experienced tax consultants and financial advisors. Looking for referrals to wholesalers to vet some deals. Love being part of the BiggerPockets community. Learning a ton.
