My first step

Hi my name is Nick. I am an Occupational Therapist certified in Hand therapy. I have my own private practice that has 4 locations, which does OK at best. Reimbursement rates from Ins companies in NY are terrible. I recently invested in a Physical Therapy practice that went bad, but I am still trying to salvage my investment there. Needless to say I am busy with my practices but I am committed to getting into real estate investing to build a better wealth portfolio. I want to start slow, so not to get overwhelmed initially and aspire to be a more aggressive investor in the future.

I just don’t know where to start. I read the ultimate beginners guide and found it somewhat helpful, but a bit vague. With the limited time that I have, in  what area should I start? By all indications it seems like wholesaling might be the way. I welcome your suggestions, from newbies to Moguls.
