New Member from DFW

Hey everybody, my name is Zach, I'm an engineer at Bell Helicopter and am looking to get into real estate investing.  My wife and I are interested in both being landlords and potentially flipping homes.  My goal is to grow a monthly income source through rental properties so that my wife and I aren't dependent on our jobs.  Would love to hear any tips for initially jumping into the real estate world and am looking forward to meeting those in this community!
