New Member from Indianapolis, IN
BP Community,
Hello! My name is Ben Gordon and I am very new to the real estate investing business (no experience) and am looking to build knowledge, relationships, and resources initially around the Indianapolis, IN area. I currently work for a Big 4 accounting firm but am looking to transition into real estate investing for supplemental wealth building and possibly financial and operational freedom (assuming this goes well!). I've been doing a lot of preliminary research on investing strategies, business start up activities (forming an LLC), property analysis, property management companies and funding to better understand the business but I'm really looking for advice on how to get started and what initial steps I should take. My research has led me to believe that initially I would like to start off with a small handful of multi-family rental properties so would like to focus on pursuing this strategy. General as well as region-specific advice and guidance on how to start would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Ben Gordon,
Great to have you on here. I'm a wholesaler from Cicero and do a lot of business in the Indianapolis area. I'd encourage you to some out to some of the REIA meet ups in the area (find times/places here) and start connecting with people in the area.
