New Real Estate Agent/Investor

Hello BP, I am originally from Ohio and have just returned from 4 years of serving in the navy. I came back and look around and have fallen in love with how much opportunity there is in OH. I will be taking my Real Estate exam this week and my goal is to have another investment property here in Columbus by June of 2017. I have about $20k in liquidable investments and have been looking for friends who want to jump on my ban wagon. This may be where the problem lies, no matter how close I am with my old friends if they're not interested in R/E then they're just not. So by this Forum I hope to meet like minded people in the Columbus area, and maybe even a serious partner.

Things I have been doing to create a network here include:

-Hondros Real Estate School

-Keller Williams is sponsoring me for my R/E exam

-I've went to the sheriff"s foreclosure auctions on High St

-Joined BP

-Went to Arlington bank to talk with some loan officers

If there is anything else that you would suggest me do for better networking weather that be for being an investor or salesperson, please let me know. Also I have looked up the REI groups in town and would any one suggest any of them (obviously in Columbus)
