Hey everyone! Great site here looking forward to diving in and absorbing some of the knowledge. Well my name is Ray, thats my wife Charity in the photo. We have a 4 year old boy and a new baby boy due in about three weeks.
I spent a good deal of time in building, framing, roofing and the like more as a general labourer. A little bit of everything. As work became real inconsistant i left for a few years to work as a lower teir manager in retail.
Now I am looking to go back to construction, but from a whole different direction. Too many days of freezing in the michigan winter hammering nails and standing on a six inch wall 20 feet up trying to guide trusses that are swinging from a crane & hoping the winter wind don't send you on a quick trip down while the builder sits warmly in his brand new truck talking on his phone.
No this time there will still be construction involved but on my terms. Fix an existing building, time it so your inside in the winter (or in Florida, which ever)
Seriously though I think BillionaireKid got it....A plan, realistic goals, motivation and a network. I hope to put all those things in order and appreciate any and all knowledge, guidance or advice from everyone here.
