Starting off in Cincinnati, Ohio
Hey all--
Thanks in advance for welcoming me into the community. My name is Chris. I'm starting out my investing in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio because I've lived here for three years and I think I understand the market and its drivers, and prices continue to appreciate.
I see real estate investing as a way to build a base of passive income to make sure I can take care of my family if their health or the economy fall on hard times. In terms of dollars, I'm shooting for $79,000 annual profit 5 years from now and $200,000 annual profit 10 years from now. I know that this will be difficult to do.
I'm currently under contract for my first property, a 4-plex. If all goes well, I'll be closing on June 9. I had one building under contract previously, another 4-plex, but the deal fell through because the building didn't appraise out and the seller would not come down to what was still a good price.
Looking forward to building relationships with many of you.
Chris
