Hi all,
I'm a recent college graduate currently working for Capital One as a business analyst in the Washington D.C. area. I've been interested in real estate since taking a real estate investing class about a year ago, but have been waiting to get settled down. Now that I've been here for almost a year I think it's time to start looking into it.
I've been reading through/listening to a lot of material lately and feel that buy and hold is where I want to be. If anyone in northern virginia wants to connect feel free to reach out. I look forward to learning from and hopefully working with the Bigger Pockets community.
Best.

Welcome to BP @Scott McClellan. Most of my investing is in the buy and hold arena, and I think it is a phenomenal way to build wealth. We have a lot of opportunities for buy and hold in the DC area, both for cash flow and appreciation plays. As a newbie, I would likely suggest focusing on cash flow properties early in your portfolio, then adding in appreciation plays once you have that base of cash flow plays.
