New to BP in the Nashville/Mid-TN area and ready to go!
Hello all- firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my first post! I am new to BP within the last week and came across it via the podcast (which has been most informative and helpful!).
I'm about 2 months, 7 books, countless podcast episodes, and a few sleepless nights staring at the ceiling into my journey towards financial freedom with RE Investing. I have been very fortunate thus far and have a beautiful wife, 2 young daughters, a healthy body, a career that many would consider very good, but I don't have a passion for my work.
I recently read Rich Dad Poor Dad (surprise surprise!) which started me on this educational journey, and have been hooked on learning more ever since. I am a very numbers oriented person (Engineer) and am looking to roll up my sleeves and get dirty for some hands on experience. I haven't decided yet on if I want to focus primarily on buy-and-hold, flipping, wholesaling, or something else under the REI umbrella, but ideally I'd like to get some hands on learning experience with each.
I am very much a no-shortcut person and believe in putting in the work (intelligently) to get what you want out of life. I have some cash stashed away, a potential partner with cash stashed away, and would like to transition from the learning phase to the learning by doing phase of my journey (I have no interest in hands-off investing with others).
From what I have seen so far, BP will be a great community to become a part of for my goals, and I am looking forward to the journey! If any part of my story is of interest to you or you would like to talk more, I am certainly willing and very open to talk.
Thanks for taking the time to read and have a good one!
