Hi everyone! I'm Jeff and I live in Sacramento. I have a day job as a senior project manager at a company called Oracle and I've been doing that kind of work for a lot of years. About a year ago I had the light bulb moment that maybe some of you have also experienced and I realized a few things. First was that working for someone else who controlled my destiny, my financial future, my career path and all the other restrictions that come with corporate life, is something that I can no longer do for the long-term. I need to take control of all those things and dictate how my life goes. I also realized that we're surrounded by opportunities. So, I've spent the year studying, reading, talking, sitting in on various guru's pitches, etc., and trying to figure out who I am as an investor. I've realized that my goal is to be out of my day job and into a full-time real estate career. I have some experience having purchased two income properties in the past and they both worked out well. I want to do more of that, while also doing some rehabs. Those are my high-level goals - I have more details behind them. It's great to be part of this community. I really want to be part of it, to network, to meet people and LEARN. If I had one question right now that I could ask, it would be about direct marketing. Would anyone be interested in talking about or pointing me to some sources? Specifically, are there mailing list services you've used and trust? And many follow-up questions. I'm here to learn and hopefull contribute to the community soon. Thanks so much!
