Hey guys!!!  I'm entering this world by way of a recent obsession with the Bigger Pockets podcast while doing data entry at work, and I'm excited to join this vibrant community from up in Alaska.  I'm a marine biologist and decided about 8 years ago in college, that I didn't care about the money- I wanted to pursue my dreams in the marine science world regardless.  I live frugally and have travelled all over the country doing seasonal marine bio gigs, eventually leading me from Charleston, SC to the Dominican Republic to now, Alaska.  I may have gone ice-diving off Nome searching for gold, but my love of the ocean has never led to a sizeable increase in my bank account or assets.  I'm fascinated in using real estate- particularly buy and hold/ rentals (although interested in all types of investment options) as a way to create passive income to be less dependent on seasonal work to sustain my adventuresome lifestyle.  I love being outdoors- hiking, kayaking, four-wheeling, fishing, diving, etc....and Kodiak is the perfect place to get all that in :)  Looking forward to connecting with the community here and learning from the years of knowledge and expertise everyone seems to have!
