Hello Bigger Pockets,

My name is Tyler from San Antonio, Texas. Shortly after graduating with a BA in Economics from UTSA in the Fall of 2014, I began learning about the real estate sales business. I decided to get my license and begin a consulting business. My goal has been to learn the ins and outs of the real estate sales business, all while being able to accumulate the capital I would need to begin investing in real estate. So far all has been going well on the consulting end of things which will allow me to acquire my first investment property this year, at minimum. My focus as of late has been on learning the ins and outs of real estate investing so that I am quite prepared when it comes time to begin investing. I have been listening to The Bigger Pockets podcast for the past 3 months and reading many books related to real estate investment. This brought me to begin networking in the local real estate community as of late and to make an introduction on the forum now.

I realized a unique position I have as a Realtor who is captivated by the world of investing. Yes, there are thousands of agents in our city but I have found that very few have any interest in investing whatsoever. I know a handful of individuals who have indicated to me that they would consider investing in real estate in the future. I realized that if I focus on mastering the craft of investing, that it's an opportunity I will have to help others reach their goals.  I see an opportunity to use this platform as well as the local real estate groups to begin networking with others in the investment community. This will serve two main purposes for me: First of all, I will be establishing a network of resources I will be using to go about my own investments in the time ahead, as well as resources to recommend to investor clients whom I work with. Also, those whom are looking to interview an investor-friendly agent to sell their fix and flips will have the opportunity to use my services.
