Newbie in DC/MD/VA

Hello! I am brand new to real estate investing world and seeking as much info as possible. This group was recommended to me and the information I've seen so far, has been quite helpful with regards to books to read. Don't laugh, but I am attending the Than Merrill/Fortune Builders information session this weekend. I thought there may be some useful information and from there, I could do my own research. Do not fear. I will not be handing over thousands of dollars to become their "student," however, my curiosity did get the best of me!

If there are any books or sites you suggest referencing, please send them my way! I look forward to the knowledge-sharing.

Welcome to BP @Stephanie Moore. Thank god you are smart enough not to hand Fortune Builders a pig pile of cash.  As for what to read...to be honest...much of the information in these forums is going to be superior to most books.  Not everything in these forums is great advice, but much of it is.
