Hello everyone, I'm very excited to be on bigger pockets!

I'm a relatively new investor finally getting out into the community! but my older brother has been an investor for about 10 years and has about 15 rental properties in Europe where he resides. He has gotten me passionate about rental investment and dedicating a lot of my free time researching and searching for those deals. I've read about 15 books on these topics, including Brandon's guide to rental property investing, have been asking endless questions and am now looking to get into the market with my first purchase. Bigger pockets has so far been an amazing asset! I love the podcasts, the books, and am now getting started on the forums! I'm mostly interested in the buy and hold strategies but understand that is difficult to make the numbers work in San Diego or southern California. I know there are deals available though! I'm currently looking anywhere from California all the way to Kansas and trying to narrow down my search for good cash flow properties.

I am also an architect/designer in San Diego, CA. I have many great contacts in terms of contractors, engineering consultants, and product distributors as well as lots of experience with the renovation part of these projects. This includes design, drawings, submittal to city and permits! Thanks!
