Finally Posting Here
Hi All,
I've been a forum member for a while and am just starting to fully realize the value that BiggerPockets has to offer. Hoping that I can bring my own value to the forum to help people similar to myself. I'm a real estate tax guy from Arlington, VA and am looking to finally get started in real estate. I've invested in a few crowdfunding deals but I would like to begin buying up small multi-family properties in my, somewhat limited, spare time.
I come from a blue collar background, so I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and I don't mind a good challenge. My goal for this year is to find my first deal and acquire a duplex or Triplex that needs work, perform a little rehab and then hold long-term.

Welcome to BP @Andrew Abernethy You'll find a lot of members here from the Grater DC area.
I think you are going to find that it is tough to find small multi family deals near DC. The high demand has kept prices high and supply very limited. You may find what we see in Baltimore that SFHs get a better return than small multi families.
