Checking in from Seattle WA

Hey guys and gals! My name is Max and I'm new to the site. It's actually been a long time since i was on any forum. A bit about me.

I grew up in Utah and recently moved to Seattle for a job opportunity even though I want to go into business for myself. I met an guy that was into rentals while at Moab Jeep Safari during Easter Weekend last year. If I had packed a spoon on that trip I wouldn't have knocked on his RVs door and I don't think I'd be here right now.

My plan for the time being is to buy my first home, most likely a duplex, in Seattle's surrounding area and live in one side while renting out the other. I would like to focus on rental properties while doing flips whenever I have the opportunity and/or time on the side.

I'm listening to the BP podcasts daily, reading everything I can on the forums, researching terms I don't understand, reading a rental property book, looking into getting my real estate license (even if it just helps me to buy my first property) and I had already read Think and Grow Rich twice last summer. I'm interested in joining the local group meetings on Tuesdays since I know they would be a huge help to meet people.

Anyways, that's a little bit (or maybe a lot) about me. In super excited to be here and to learn as much as I can about something I feel so passionate about.
