It's great to be able to reach out and say "hello" to such a wonderful community.  I just recently found Bigger Pockets (probably mostly by accident) and have been looking around on the forums.  My wife and I sat in on a recent webinar, and we've started listening to the BP Podcast as well.  What a great way to learn and share!

A little bit about us.  I'm a Bay Area - California native, transplanted to Upstate New York.  I've been an Air Traffic Controller for 6 years, which is funny because I recently heard someone on the podcast mention that they were considering going in to this field before they got in to real estate.  Well, I suppose I'm doing it the other way around.  My wife was a vocal performance major in college, and has been working mostly admin-assistant type jobs in the past (being a vocal performer doesn't pay much for most).

We're moving to Greensboro, NC in the middle of January, 2016, and are extremely exited to be in a new area where things are alive and growing!  Our goal is to get involved with real estate investment in the next year or two, and hopefully ride it as far as it will take us.  We're just starting to learn now, but hoping that eventually we'll be able to get in to buy & hold and maybe some flipping.  Like many, I take it, we'd like to achieve a certain sort of lifestyle that keeps us connected with the people and things that matter most to us.

We are also looking forward to meeting some good people in the area, as aside from some cousins of my wife's who live in N.C., we know basically no one.

Great to meet you all and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
