Motivated Salem Oregon Investor

Hey everyone. My name is Skylar Simpson and I am from Salem, Oregon (love the rain and trees).  I've been using BiggerPockets for a little over a month now and decided it's finally time to introduce myself and begin connect with like minded people. I love networking and learning. I can't get enough of it.

I am quite new to investing (about two months now) but I have learned more in that time than I ever imagined. I am really good at research/learning quickly (straight A college student and honor grad during my military training #1 recruit). I've become addicted to knowing more about investing and how I can make my life, and my families lives, comfortable and living a free life.

I am extremely interested in creative investing (subject to, lease option, owner financing etc..) and have almost closed on two very profitable deals - which unfortunately fell through due to my inexperience (not addressing certain things immediately) and the sellers family talking them out of it (bummer).

I am highly motivated and within the last two months I've built a website that is already ranking on page one of google, connected with other 100+ real estate agents, met a few other investors (some nice - some not), spoken to at least 30 FSBO practicing what to say and how, learned the process of flipping, wholesaling, creative investing and continuing to do so every single day.

My main goal is to get my first deal under my belt so I can get out from my student loan debt and to prove to those doubting me that this is my true calling and it does in fact work. I am looking for a mentor in my current market - this is my current main goal (other than finding a deal) so I can learn from them and maybe even do deals together so I can build a little capitol to do it myself.

Any who - that is me and I am ready to make a life worth living. A life where I can help those in need (sellers) with win-win situations. It's a pleasure to meet you and please connect with me. I want to know more and I am willing to listen.

Thank you and I look forward to meeting you all.

Hey Brian Gibbons - Interestingly enough I have been reading some of your stuff here and there. I appreciate the information and I will continue to read and learn until I die.

Thank you very much
