Hello Everyone. I'm Steve, from Richland, Mississippi. Real Estate Investing is something I've long wanted to do; yet, I've not been able to overcome the fear of making the first move. (see last paragraph pg 21 of the Ultimate Beginners Guide)

Although I've been involved in the construction / remodeling (as a sub-contractor, mostly) side of Real Estate for 30+ years, there are a lot of things I'll need to learn. Intricacies of this business, which seem like a long list. I'm still involved with construction, only a much smaller scale now.

My immediate interest includes, but not limited to, Rental Houses (R1 for now) and Flipping Houses. Not necessarily in that order.

My immediate goals are, by end of 2016: New entrepreneurial endeavors, also targeting the residential housing sector. Obtaining my Builders License, Home Inspector License and Real Estate License... In addition to investing in Rental Properties, Flipping Houses, we'd also (in a perfect world) want to begin building Spec Houses.

These goals may seem Grandiose. But, I feel it's doable providing I take action and stop talking about it. Thanks to my loving and supportive partner, I'm encouraged and driven, to do / be more. Between the two of us, we have very full plates. She's an RN Manger, who is currently going for her Masters Degree.

I discovered Bigger Pockets via Google search on "Getting started in Real Estate Rentals." The link given was a basic primer, if you will. After reading the blog post and looking around the site a while, I decided to join. Immediately following registering, I downloaded the Ultimate Beginners Guide and started reading it. It seems we've found a good place to learn the ropes and trade my experience with the community.

For now, I'll close with this: I'm grateful to have found Bigger Pockets. Hope that I'll be of service to others, in some way, while I glean information from the works of others.

In advance, Thank you, one and all!
