Hello, everyone!

My name is David Barkstrom and I'm a new member/aspiring investor from the northern Mississippi area. I love the site so far, I've read the beginner's guide and plan on listening to the podcast and reading more of the articles to get started.

A little info about myself, I'm 25 and have been working in my parents' small business since I was old enough to work, so I don't have much real estate experience personally, but I'm very eager to learn as much as I can about investing. I've been interested in real estate since I was a teenager, but never knew how to jump into the business. I'd really love to find people with more experience to talk to and learn from near me. I live near the Tupelo area, but I'm in a bit of a rural area myself, so finding knowledgeable people to learn from is proving to be a little tricky.

My long term goal is to eventually be able to completely support myself with income from real estate deals and investments. Primarily I'm looking to get started in buying and holding small multifamily properties, but I'm willing to explore all different kinds of investments! I'd greatly appreciate any advice about starting in a small, rural market that anybody has.

Thank you all in advance, I'm very excited to be here!

David
