New Member Introduction - Orlando, FL
My name is Shane Rupe and I'm an experienced supply chain manager that has recently graduated with my bachelor’s degree in business. I have started my venture into real estate investing part time seeing I have a full time career in supply chain at the moment. I recently joined the CFRI (Central Florida Realty Investors) association and it has been a pleasure networking with other real estate professionals and investors within this local forum. I’m looking to hold properties for wealth building and buy/sell (flip) homes in need of repair. I’m currently solidifying my business plan that outlines my strategic goals and objectives for my real estate investments. It is a please to join the BiggerPockets community and I look forward to networking with other likeminded individuals!

@Dan Oliver and @John O'Leary are great local guys to connect with.
Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of BP:
Start here. You'll get a wealth of REI knowledge and learn how to take full advantage of Bigger Pockets (including how to connect with other Orlando investors:).
Listen to the podcasts , get active on the forums & set up key word alerts to be notified when people are discussing topics you're interested in.
I'm an active investor & agent in the area, so feel free to reach out anytime.
I wish you all the best Shane!
Andrew,
I greatly appreciate all the tips you provided and the welcome to the community! I will certainly take your suggestions to heart and go through them all. I'm constantly studying and can now study what I enjoy as opposed to what I have to study for my degree. Every minute I spend in the car I'm listening to audio books about real estate and when I'm not driving I'm reading books and articles to make sure I'm prepared before I get into my first transaction. I feel I'm now ready to start gaining real world experience. I know that you can have plenty of knowledge, but this knowledge is no substitute for real world experience! I will reach out to you soon to further network with you. Thank you again for taking the time to provide these suggestions. I'm hear to learn from other and one day help others once I have experience.
