Good evening Bigger Pockets real estate world,

My name is Cordell. I am recently out of the Marine Corps and very excited about started my REI career. I've done an 8 month tour in Sangin Afghanistan, and a 7 month tour that had me travel from Japan to Thailand. Now that I am out, I am looking forward to linking and networking with people that have the same mindset and goals as myself. Prior to joining the Marine Corps, I was a welder for about 3 years. After being honorably discharged, I went back to welding for a few months and realized I just couldn't continue working for other people. So I decided to follow my entrepreneurial dreams and start my own business. Ive always had sort of an interest in real estate. Plus the idea of being financially free and being able to take care of my entire family is very powerful. Now the bad news. Growing up I had no clue how important credit would be in my life so needless to say, my credit isn't up to par. Ive also had a few business ventures go wrong so my money is very tight right now (Looks like I'll be welding for another few months).
