Greetings to everyone on BP.

How I got here?

I am excited to surround myself and learn from being a part of this forum. A month ago I read the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad". After finishing the book I then finished reading "Cashflow Quadrant" I just recently started to read "How I turned 1000 into 5mill in real estate in my spare time". This has all started motivating me to be serious with real estate investing such as learning thumb rules when doing deals and how to calculate the numbers.. etc. So serious that I'm getting rid of my new Porsche I had purchased in February and have no debt. Which is hard to do but I now know I can use money towards investing and buy nice things later on in life once wealth comes. I am happy to face this journey. Being that I'm 21 and work a day job as a technician at Mercedes Benz I know it will be nothing near easy doing it on the side. My current goal is to find a successful local mentor and to learn enough to do my first rental deal before the end of this year.

I see there is lots of knowledge to take in from many educated people here.

Thanks everyone for the advice you share! Headed to my first (free) seminar this Thursday!

@Brandon Turner:
Thanks for the welcome Brandon!
I actually listen to your podcasts while driving everyday! I get awesome advice from them! and recently also watched a recorded webinar about the 50% rule you explained.
