newbie to BP and REI

Hi, My name is Joseph Nguyen and I am new to BP and REI. I have a business in the salon/beauty industry and I am looking to diversify my income stream using REI. My short term goal is to learn as much as possible and to set up my business numbers and systems within the coming months. I hope to be a productive member of this community as I believe in due diligence, hard work and cooperation with right minded folks. Looking forward to all the interactions.

Welcome to the site, @Joseph Nguyen! This place is a wealth of knowledge and experience. My wife and I own a skincare business here in Washington. We started getting involved in REI about a year ago for the same reason as you - to diversify and build some passive income. We've received a ton of education here on BiggerPockets. Another great source of knowledge has been "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor" and "Hold" by Gary Keller. Those books mainly focus on the buy-and-hold side of REI, if you're interested in that niche. Be sure to check out the BiggerPockets Podcasts too, if you haven't already.
