Hi all!  Been a lurker here on BP for quite some time, absorbing the content and listening to all the awesome podcasts.  Thought it was about time to officially join and participate!

I'm a transplanted Pittsburgher, proud graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, and am now living in the Raleigh area of North Carolina.  I first became actively interested in real estate about 18 months ago when my wife and I moved into a new house and turned our former primary residence into our first rental property.

Over the past few months, I've connected with two friends who have similar goals, ideals, and values, and we have already acquired three SFR this year - with our current goals aligned more to a buy-and-hold approach - and are actively looking to acquire more properties that meet our model/criteria. Primarily, we are focused on strong cash flow and investing in up-and-coming or transitional neighborhoods in and around Raleigh. The potential for appreciation in the future, for us, is purely a bonus at this point.

We utilized traditional methods and conventional financing for each of these first three houses, but are interested in learning from others who have taken a more creative approach to both lead generation/marketing and finance.  I would really love to learn more about both Subject To deals and Seller Financing.

The three of us are also eager to meet, connect with, and learn from other seasoned real estate investors here in Raleigh or anywhere else for that matter.  Hope to chat with you all soon!
