New BP member from Long Beach, CA

Hello BP!

I am excited to be joining this community.  We are new to real estate investing, however, I work in the commercial development side of real estate, specifically the design, development and construction for a privately held restaurant company.  Our company is nearing 70 years old and still one of the fastest growing chains in the QSR industry.  My responsibilities include all of the deals located in the western half of the U.S.   

My wife (Lisa) and I are originally from Arizona and have lived in California for the past 11 years.  After working the past 11 years as a stay at home mom, Lisa just finished getting her Masters and is now working again.  Thankfully we don't need her income and we plan to start investing all of it into real estate, along with a good size nest egg we've been saving.    We decided it is time to start investing in things that we have more control over.

I have been consuming the BP podcasts, forums, and blogs like I haven't eaten in weeks.  I also just finished reading The Ultimate Beginners Guide and participating in Brandon's webinar yesterday.

We haven't developed a clear strategy or criteria yet.  However, I do know that I have no plans to leave my company, I love what I do and the people I get to work with.  That leads me towards more of a long term buy and hold strategy.  I'm mostly interested in Mobile Home Parks and small MFRs.

 I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you!
