New Investor in Denver, CO

Hi Everyone,

My name is Walker Hinshaw and I live in Denver Colorado. I first joined the BiggerPockets Community several months ago, but am just now starting to use the site after having listened to the podcasts. I have a full time job and am currently house-hacking my first property, a duplex in the Clayton neighborhood.

By the beginning of 2020, I am looking to acquire 20 buy and hold units (one duplex = 2 units) with a focus on small multi-family properties in the Denver area (preferably in Five Points, Cole, Clayton, Whittier, Skyland, City Park, and City Park West). My goal is to gain experience and build my network while purchasing these small multi-families, then leverage my properties to help buy an apartment complex. Along the way, I am also looking to do some of my own marketing in the neighborhoods mentioned above, so if I can build a solid funnel I may get into wholesaling as well.

Between poking around the forums, blogs, and the Ultimate Beginners Guide, I can tell that this website is going to be an extremely valuable resource and am stoked to be a part of this obviously incredible community.
