I'm Tyson Dierschke (deer-sh-key) from Richmond, TX, just south of Sugar Land. I am currently in my educational phase as I enter the world of RE investing. I have been lurking on BP for about a month and I've been listening to the BP podcasts for a little longer. I started at show #1 and I'm currently on show #46 as I attempt to listen to them all (for those who don't listen, you should give it a shot. It really is great stuff).

I technically already own my first rental property, and I am currently in the process of getting to be cash flow positive. I will get into more detail about that in a separate post.

I have a degree in Construction Management and I currently work in heavy construction for an electric utility. I have experience in many other fields including residential and commercial construction, surveying, heavy equipment operation, civil engineering design, and I was also a project manager for my current company. I also served in Law Enforcement for 6 years.

I have very little experience in REI , however I have had an interest in it for many years. So now I've decided, as my family grows and I get older, it's time to make some moves. My goal is to develop a passive income that will allow me to quit my "9-5"(6:30-5 actually) and invest in real estate full time. I plan to start in buy and hold and would like to flip a few along the way. One of my ultimate goals is to get in on a large apartment complex someday.

I look forward to interacting with, and learning from this awesome community. And who knows, maybe I'll have the privilege of working with some of you in the future.

Sincerely,

Tyson D
