Greetings New Investor from Knoxville TN

Hey all.

I'm happy to be part of this REI community. I've been browsing the forums for awhile, but I'd like to start getting more involved.

I've been saving cash and studying real estate investing for some time now.  I hope to buy rentals or rehab flip houses.

Unfortunately, I just moved to a new area (Knoxville, TN).  I have no idea what the market is like here.  I know a little about the different neighborhoods, but it's a lot to take in.

I think I'll need to hire a buyer's agent that is very smart and knows the market well.  There's so much to learn!

@Gretchen Roberts @Eric Miller Knoxville REI is the only local group that I know of. Their $50 fee is steep so I seldom go. But the meetings I have been to have been worth it. I don't mind paying for a meeting but something closer to $25/ meeting and I would go to all of them!

Nothing is stopping the BP Knoxvillians from meeting up though...
