New Investor Here from Oswego IL, Saying Hi!

Hi all, great forum. I have lurked for a but and am trying to learn everything I can to begin with my goal of buy&hold rental investing of single-family homes in our area.

I am a software designer by day and my wife and I are recently empty nesters looking for opportunities in real estate. I envision the first purchase or three to be self managed and I am pretty handy at repairs, though I may contract some things.

I'm hoping to leverage equity in our home plus possible partnering to begin.

Anyway, thought I'd say he and that I'm very encouraged by what I see here. I have a ton of questions, but I am diving in to a lot of materials on the site and will be reading as much as I can. Might be bugging you with lots of questions, lol! :-)

Thanks and regards,

Jeff
