Techie from Southern California, New to Real Estate

Hello Bigger Pockets community!

I'm Michael from Chino, CA which is in Southern California, right where LA, OC and San Bernardino meet.  My background is in technology, having worked with and invested in tech startups for over 15 years.

Investing in real estate has always been part of my long term plans, although my other passions and interests have put it aside for too long.  I have one rental property in California that was my primary home at one time, then turned into an investment by circumstance.

Thanks to BP and the advise from other successful investors, I've decided to take action and move forward with my planned real estate investments.  My short-term goal is to acquire my first cash-flow positive buy and hold property before the end of 2014.  My mid-term goal is to increase my portfolio from 1 property to 10-15 doors within 3 years.  Since cash flow is my goal, I'm looking at opportunities outside of California.

I know I have a lot to learn but am confident that the BP community will help guide me.  I hope to also reciprocate and help others as well as my experience and learnings grow.

Lets do this.

M
