Hello all from an Atlanta extreme newbie
Hello everyone, I'm Chantel from Connecticut. I currently reside in Atlanta where I am an indie filmmaker. Ive always been interested in real estate but have decided to pursue that goal.
The reason I I'm extreme newbie is I have experience and am looking learn connect on here. I'm also currently look for real schools in Atlanta (I don't want do schools).
I'd love to find ways to merge film and real estate as I know how hard it is to find locations. I'm most interested in learning rehabs. Investments, income properties and wholesaling. I'm very open to finding a mentor and possibly shadowing.

Welcome to Biggerpockets!
There are lots of "strategies" to success on this wonderful website. Everyone has their own different method. My husband moves a lot to being active duty so we got our foot in the door through turning personal properties into rentals. We added to them with pure rentals when I am working by always living off one salary. We self manage from long distances by investing in class A properties. I call it the "southwest airlines" model. While are margins are slimmer we are able to self manage saving the management fees, have fewer vacancy costs AND our expenses are lower.
Podcasts, blogs, and the forums are great sources for reading everyone's different ideas. Everyone on here has found there own way. We personally don't follow the 1%or 2% rule or 50% rule and have done wells.
If there are people who's ideas you like. You should definitely check out their signature lines. Many people including myself talk about their plans in-depth without of additional ideas on their website and blogs. So this is an AMAZING additional resource.
Biggerpockets is like an onion, except it only makes you eyes water from enjoyment.
