Seeking momentum and synnergy

I'm Stacey.  I'm a 2 day/week mental health therapist, a mother of two little ones, and a motivated newby in real estate investment arena. There's a lot of real estate investment activity in my immediate and extended family, but this is pretty new to me in terms of buy-and-hold, flipping, etc.  I have owned three owner-occupied homes (one purchased in 2002 in Ellensburg, WA; one purchased in 2006 in West Seattle, WA; and one purchased a few months ago in Tacoma, WA where I now reside with my family). My husband discovered BP many months ago: he cyberstalked the site, contributors and podcast masterminds for months and then finally joined the community.  All the while, as I was just finishing a graduate program in Psychology, he was encouraging me to get connected to the BP community, to listen to podcasts, etc.

So, here I am, many podcasts under my belt and excited to move forward. Current goals: attain buy and hold properties for long term cash flow/security. We are willing and ready to flip and/or wholesale to make our long term goals a reality. Sticking points: 1) neither of us are realtors/brokers, so we don't have immediate access to local MLS; 2) We're having a heck of a time nailing down a realtor who understands our goals to the point that they can/will help us by going the extra mile to connect us to properties that we'll have a realistic shot at; 3) potential investments are going really fast in our area, so we're not sure how to really get ourselves in the game.

All that being said, I feel ready to start networking, and I understand that connecting to partners/investors is going to be key for us.  We are hungry to connect with mentors, and we feel that the BP community is a great mentor in and of itself, but we (I) need to move beyond virtual connections to real, in-person connections.  I'd love to connect with people in our area who are finding success and who would be willing to partner with us and share wisdom as we get the ball rolling.

Okay, I'll shut up :-).  Looking forward to becoming a real, active member of the BP community!

@Stacey Olson ,

Welcome!,

And I believe there's an official BP meetup happening soon (or recenlty?) in somewhere up there in Washington. Search above, or check with @Brandon Turner .

Great site! Use it to the max! And I definitely recommend meeting some other investors in person!
