New Investor in Northern Virginia

Hello!

My name is Tanya. I am relatively new to real estate investing. The extent of my experience is a condo that I owned and rented some years ago and then, of course, buying and selling my own homes.

I have some money to invest so my first goal is to buy and hold a multi-family unit (duplex, tri or quad). I live in the Northern Virginia area but the prices are very high in this area so I am researching other areas such as Charlotte, Tampa, or Dallas. It is a bit daunting trying to try to do this outside of the area that I live. I'm doing a lot of research.

BP has been a great help. I've read the New Investors sections and material and am monitoring the forums.

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks and am glad to be part of the community.

Tanya
