Hello all,

My name is Denise Mayo-Walley and I reside in Sugar Land, TX with my husband and 2 kids.

My husband and I will be entering the field of real estate investing with a buy & hold strategy and a long term goal of generating enough income to cover our living expenses. We are open to considering multi-family properties after getting our feet wet with rentals. We are currently interested in properties in Katy, Sugar Land, Missouri City or Pearland, TX as we are familiar with these areas.

Neither my husband nor myself have real estate experience other than my long-standing interest in real estate and obsession with interior decorating. We have purchased 3 primary residences, however. Everyone has asked themselves the "If I were to win the lottery and not have to work, what would I do" question and my answer is always REAL ESTATE. We have thought about being involved in real estate investing and have finally, and seriously, made the decision to educate ourselves and then take the first step.

At our level of experience, or inexperience :-), our first order of business is to find a real estate broker who can assist us in finding our first property. We have researched on HAR.com, Homepath, auctions.com, etc. and believe that a real estate broker may have access to better deals AND also be able to share their knowledge about the real estate market in our areas of interest AND have potential leads from wholesalers.

We are excited about finally acting on our dreams of investing in real estate and look forward to learning more from everyone here at Bigger Pockets.

Thank you!

Denise Mayo-Walley
