New REI in New Hampshire. Seeking input on what to read/know about investing!

  • Hello
  • My husband and I are exploring REI in New England. We live in Seacoast New Hampshire and would prefer to invest as locally as possible to start. We've started looking into real estate because we want to use our valuable time to invest in our kids as they grow and invest in our local community through volunteering, not spending all of our time working 9-5 for the next 20 years.
  • Our goal with Bigger Pockets for this year is to determine our plan for investing, and then make our first purchase. I'd love to hear any input/feedback on investing in New England, New Hampshire, or the Seacoast. What are things you think a new investor should know when starting out in the area?
  • Or if you have any specific book or podcast recommendations for beginners in general, I'm all ears.
  • Thanks for reading and for any help!
