Hello.

I am Mark. From Indianapolis, then San Diego, then Virginia Beach, then Hawaii, then back to Viriginia Beach, and now in Summerville South Carolina.

22-year Navy vet.

Now I am a certified real estate appraiser.

I am interested in learning and networking. Have not done any deals.

I am looking to learn and network. My plan is to buy my first “turnkey” early next year. My wife and I have started saving. Our first goal is to have her income covered in about 5 years so she can free up her time. We have figured one house per year should get us close, depending on the cash flow obviously.

The market I am in is basically the greater Charleston area. Covers Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, and Dorchester counties. I would be willing to look down by Beaufort and up to Colombia if the deal was right. That would be our second goal of getting into BRRRR.

I would like to meet people in areas that have all the tools that I do not… which is basically everything. Attorney, TC, title, contractors, and agents/property managers.

I would also like to talk with others that have the turnkey route and pick your brain. Best practices, things you regret, markets you see growing, etc. That is something my wife has really bought into, and we think it would be a really good strategy for us.

Check out REI Central, CHS Circle, and the Tri-County Investors Association. All three are monthly REI networking meetups that occur monthly in Charleston. REI Central is probably the largest/most popular - typically 100+ people. There are several smaller satellite events each month as well.

Let me know if I can help. I'm a veteran also and co-host a small monthly networking meetup exclusively for veterans.
