Hello BiggerPockets community! I'm Ryan from Austin, passionate about real estate investing for the past few months.  I'm particularly passionate about fix and flip and section 8 in Baltimore, Tulsa, San Antonio, and Houston.

Outside of real estate, I enjoy triathlons, martial arts, fatherhood, and time with family and friends.

Excited to learn and connect with you all!

also, if anyone has any good connects for reliable contractors in the Tulsa, OK market id love to get connected for a fix and flip im working on!

Hey Ryan welcome to BP! Good luck in your journey. Investing in Section 8 rent is a great strategy to grow your real estate portfolio. I recommend buying into section 8 rental that have already did the modifications or repairs and passed the city inspection. Managing it, and building a relationship with the city will make it easier for you to start investing in non section 8 rentals and doing the work it needs to get them approved by the program. It's just a matter of finding those deals.
