New Real Estate agent discovering business.

Mert Turan
Posted

Hey guys, I'm Mert, a new real estate agent in NJ, navigating the real estate business as a true beginner. I say "true beginner" because I'm originally from Turkey, and I came to the USA when I was 18. For the past 8 years, I've faced numerous struggles while trying to establish a new life on my own. I've held several different jobs just to make ends meet until this year. This is my first business venture, and I haven't closed any deals yet. I believe it's due to my limited connections, and the people around me are also new here. Currently, I'm earning a living by driving part-time to pay the bills, but real estate is the profession I'm truly passionate about. I'm handing out my business card to customers while I'm driving them around, but so far, I haven't received any leads from that. However, I'm determined to keep at it until I get some leads. Are there any other ideas you can suggest?

Thank you!

Hey @Mert Turan,

Welcome to the world of real estate! First thing you want to do is start building your network of people who can assist you in getting deals done and then find a good mentor.

@Jake Handler is a local agent who could assist you and point you in the right direction.
