Newbie Iivestor and ready for the next step

Hello all,

My name is Chris, and I am very new to the real estate world. I "accidentally" fell into my first property (I bought a place right away, at the right time during the heart of COVID), but then moved to the North Carolina area because I am on active duty in the military. I own my house in NC, but my "accident" has built up substantial equity since the purchase.

I am ready to use the equity I have sitting idle and grow the portfolio. But most importantly, I am looking for people to learn from and invest with along this new journey.

My 3-5-year goal is to build the portfolio using LTR purchases to grow some cash flow and equity, ideally purchasing multi-family units in tandem with SFHs. BRRR properties would be fantastic as well. I am not opposed to STR/MTR, but my current profession puts quite a bit of restriction on that avenue.

My 5-10-year goal is to shift more toward long-term appreciation and syndication. I also hope to have the flexibility to focus on a personal goal of non-profit work involving real estate at this stage.

I look forward to conversing with all of you, including building a reliable and trustworthy network of colleagues.

-Chris
