Hi my name is Vana and I'm a newbie. I live in Ft. Lauderdale FL but grew up in Miami.

I first heard about BP while reading Mr. Money Mustache's blog (I'm a big fan). One of the BP members interjected on one of his REI posts and provided further insight on rental properties; I didn't pay it much mind though. A few weeks later I was looking for ways to take my investment portfolio to the next level and heard about cheap properties in Detroit. I began researching and luckily came across an article written by Ali Boone of BP (Investing in Detroit Real Estate: Would you invest there?), one of the few articles so thoroughly written on this topic. Immediately I was drawn to BP and the wealth of knowledge available.

I cannot thank you all enough for sharing your knowledge and impacting my life.

more Ft Lauderdale peeps! I live in Coral Springs. I'm new on this forum too, I have been reading a lot and finally sold my first flip and am in contract on my Second. I am looking to network with people who are doing the same, flipping and buy and holds. I thought myself everything I know after being inspired by a gentleman from Toronto who built an empire of 3600 rental units....

I have been thinking of investing outside the area, I'm going to take a look at your article Ali.
