New Members Intro - Struggling with Market Analysis

Hello everyone –

We’d like to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We are Brian & Michelle Sherrod. Currently live about an hour south of Atlanta, GA. We’ve spent the better part of the last 5-years on the sidelines taking expensive courses (embarrassing), reading book after book on real estate investing without any luck. Being 100% real, we’re stuck in analysis-paralysis of which market and not being able to identify a good deal if it slapped us in the face (even more embarrassing).

After creeping the BP site and seeing so many like minded people, we’ve defined our “why”, written out our goals, joined BP, and are looking forward to taking massive actions. We’re committed to evaluating and selecting an investment market (local or out-of-state), to setting aside 45%+ W-2 income for acquiring assets, purchase our first long-term rental assets by April 2024, replacing our W-2 income with net passive income by 2028, and reaching financial freedom so we can do whatever we want, whenever we want, for as long as we want for the rest of our lives.

He spent 20 years active-duty AF, she faced the hardship of being a military spouse. Together we can accomplish anything for our son (10), including taking massive action so we can spend more time with him, ourselves, and family without having to worry about being employed. Create more time for us.
