Hello World! I mean Fort Worth =]
Hi BP ppl!
My name is Morgan. I'm originally from Houston but moved here to Fort Worth, TX (texas) about a year ago. And yes, I'm a complete, COMPLETE newbie to the real estate.
My wife and I work full-time and I have been yearning for that freedom and those options that real estate can provide. I finally convinced my wife that this was a great idea. And now we both agree that buy and hold rental properties would be a great approach to cash flow.
I have never bought or sold a house in my life. We currently rent. I have no idea what financial businesses come along with buying a house. I'm still reading about everything I can find too. Right now, I am reading a how to buy homes for dummies book in hopes that I can get some good tips on this subject.
I would love to see how many Fort Worth-ians are here on BP!

Welcome to BP and Ft Worth! Looks like you are in a good situation to purchase a multiplex as an owner occupied investment. This will give you experience landlording up close and also allow you to get in the game for little cash (3.5% down FHA loan)
There is a large group from DFW here and there is a local BP meet up in Irving every month. Stay connected on here and your network/experience will grow by leaps and bounds!
