20 Year Old New Investor Ready to Get Started

Kerry Yoon

Posted

Hello!

I am currently a business student at USC that got interested in learning about real estate investing about week ago after listening to the Real Estate Rookie Podcast. Based on the research I have done, my timeline looks like the following:

- Virtual wholesaling from now until May of 2025 when I graduate. I hope to get my first deal done by the end of the year.

- Use the money from wholesaling to buy my first house hack in California shortly after my graduation date.

- Expand my toolbox through primarily through creative financing—the concept amazes me.

If you have any information regarding meetups suitable for beginners, recommended books, insightful courses, general tips, or if you're open to providing mentorship, I would really appreciate any help.

Super grateful for this community and I am excited to achieve my goals!

hey @Kerry Yoon, welcome to BP! Sounds like a solid plan. When I first started investing I absorbed as much content as I could learn and understand the various strategies and concepts of REI. Networking is super important as you'll meet people that can help guide you, collaborate with, or partner with. Reach out if you ever want to chat!
