New investor in Lubbock Texas looking for mentors and to join the community

Hey everyone!

I'm a 25-year-old recent college grad in Lubbock Tx who's been diving into the world of owner-occupied investment properties. I've been doing a great deal of research on my own, as well as trial by fire, but I'm really eager to connect with others in my area who share the same interest. Some of the people close to me that I try to talk with see what I’m trying to do as risky or unwise, but I think given the right circumstances, it can turn out great. Since they have been hesitant to help or even uncertain about the topic, I figured it would be best to find a community of people who understand real estate investing to get moral support and learn from.

I've already reached out to my local REIA, but I wanted to cast a wider net and see who else is out there. I believe that learning from and building friendships with like-minded individuals can be mutually beneficial.

If you have experience with owner-occupied investment properties or are just as eager to share your thoughts and ideas on real estate investing with others, even if your new to it all like me, I'd love to connect!
