Wallflower from Upstate New York
Hey all,
I've been lurking in the corner for a couple of weeks so I thought I'd step out and say hi. Currently, I'm living in Minerva NY with my wife but are looking for the door. Our goal is to start investing in Multi-Families and in the past couple of weeks we have been on an educational binge to figure out how to make it happen. Now we're running the numbers and, true to the season, making a list and checking it twice. After a few years of drifting, it's nice to feel like we are gaining some direction.
The information on this sight has been unbelievable, your posts and comments eye-opening. Thank you all for the knowledge, I look forward to what is to come!
Welcome @Kevin Parsley from a fellow "Upstater"(Rochester). You should be able to go a long way with a free education here on BP from all of the great forum members. Don't forget to check out the podcasts for some really great info to help you get started.
Thanks Dave! We have family in Rochester and we listened to our first Podcasts while on our way to and from there. How is Rochester? Because of the family it's on our list to look at, probably more in the outliers than city proper.
Welcome to BP @Kevin Parsley ! Time to get off the fence and put all information within BP to use! BP is truly priceless with everything it has to offer its users. Best of luck to you and if you follow all the "rules" here on BP you should be successful. And don't forget you have thousands of people who you can reach out to who've been there and done that!
Thanks Darren! I'm sure I'll have A LOT of questions and concerns in the days to come. I look forward to working with everyone.
@Kevin Parsley feel free to PM me and we can discuss the Rochester market as I am getting a pretty good handle on the different areas - there are definitely some good opportunities for anyone in the Upstate area looking to invest. There are a few well established PMs that you can use as well.
Welcome!!!!!
Biggerpockers is a great forum. Don't forget to check out the podcasts and blogs.
