Aloha BP, Newbie military investor here. I am currently stationed in Oahu, Hawaii. I have been interested in real estate for quite some time but have always invested in other areas. I am 29 and my wife is 28. We are eager and excited to invest into rental property in the near future. We are under contract for our dream home in Hawaii which we move into on Valentine's day. Now that we will be homeowners, we want to finally start investing in it also. I am the aggressive type and my wife is the conservative, so we balance out. I want to jump into a 4-8 apartment building but would be content with a 2-4 to start. My wife hates the idea of paying the bank interest but I understand the value in leveraging.
