Hello World! I'm new to BP and excited to meet you all!

Hello,

I'm new to BP and to real estate investing, but am an architect and general contractor who has worked FOR real estate investors many many times over the years. I have always known I would eventually start this journey, but was concentrating on creating my first general contracting and architecture firms first. But I am now ready and have started taking steps towards officially launching my investment company. My current step in the plan is: Get Educated

In the process of reading books and talking to people, BP came up several times, so I figured this would be an amazing place to earn that education!

A little more about myself:

I sold my last contracting company 3 years ago and then moved to Reno, NV to raise my kids (instead of Las Vegas). In order to get things going here in my new city, I picked up a job as a Multifamily Development Project Manager to start making connections and building relationships within the Real Estate world here in Reno. I have been extremely successful at finding and creating relationships with all the various contractors, real estate agents, vendors, and mentors I think I'm going to need. I have managed over $150,000,000 worth of (completed) new multifamily development here in Reno so far, and am currently working on two more projects worth an additional $160m.

By simply mentioning that I was going to start this company, I have already received several offers of capital. I'm taking that as a sign that I'm on the correct path!

So my short term plan is to spend this next 6 months to a year really hitting the books. I don't want to jump into something without being as prepared as I possibly can, and I REALLY don't want to mess up any relationships with people who want to provide me with capital. So, 'slow and careful' is the plan for the foreseeable future.

I wanted to really pull the trigger with BP and start being active daily in the forums. I look forward to meeting new people and getting to know the platform!
