Hi everyone,

I figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Carlos Pringle, i'm 27 and am currently serving my last year in the Marine Corp Reserves on deployment. I'm ultimately looking forward to moving on afterwards and beginning to invest in real estate. I do have a bachelors degree in history, but was unable to complete my masters. Like many I've got a lot of things to work out. I'm honestly on this website to gain some solid input and guidance. As of now my experience with RE is zero, so I hope to learn a lot. Although I do have some investment ideas, I simply need to know if my plans are viable, or whether i'm thinking way over my head.

I do plan on purchasing my first home using my VA loan. however, In the distant future I would like to purchase and acquire single family/student rental properties. Can you all provide some insight as to how you got your start? Did you have to obtain a license? Did you incorporate your business with an LLC? Did you save to purchase your properties with cash? Or did you find other ways to raise capital? ect.

I have many other questions, but any helpful advice from a seasoned expert, Invester, landlord, real estate agent, ect., would be very much appreciated.

-Carlos
